My name is Sandra Olaniyi and I’m a 22-year-old full-time student and part-time content creator. In 2019, I started my influencer and content creator journey as SIMPLYSANDRA, and have worked with various brands and companies since, even earning four-figure deals with my under 5k following…. yes, it’s possible. *wink*

 

How did I get started?

I started off working as a campus representative for Victoria’s Secret PINK, doing all things social media marketing, content creation, hosting events, etc. Through that I found a love for creating more fashion-based content and stuck with it, growing my Instagram, and working with additional brands instead of just PINK.

 

I personally don’t enjoy having a niche, as I find myself to be a very multifaceted woman on my accounts, but I do focus primarily on the beauty, lifestyle, and fashion industries when it comes to content creation. I’ve had the opportunity to work with small businesses, as well as major brands such as Giorgio Armani, Fenty, VS PINK, Vince Camuto, Milani Cosmetics, and so many more.

My Journey

​

During this journey, I’ve experienced a lot that comes with working on social media and making it an additional stream of income for myself. I’ve gone through crazy algorithm changes, lack of engagement, burnout, and huge drops in followers, but also achieved viral videos, strong content strategies, and lots of brainstorming. From the outside looking in, it seems as though creators just take photos, and videos, edit them and post them, but it’s not that easy at all. There’s a lot of work and research that goes into being a creator, especially if you want to be a well-established one who has the motivation for it and wants to make it a steady form of income.

 

Through this guide, my goal is to inform you all about some strategies, tactics, and analytical research that can take your social media game to the next level. I also want to provide a space where creators can also share their tips with you all, as well as some personal knowledge they’ve gained while being in this space, and actively working on different platforms.  

 

As I am also actively learning more and more by the day about these different platforms and how to operate them, my plan is to grow as I help you grow through what I learn, and what others teach me. Together we can all become masterminds at content creation and gather the skills needed to dominate the industry.
